Dear Parents/Guardians,

The beginning of the school year can be a stressful time for first-timers!  (Not just students, but parents too.)  As early childhood educators, we would like to help with this stress by holding our “Back to School Night” on the first morning of school.  All parents are encouraged to attend and children who do attend must be accompanied by an adult/parent.

We will be using this time to become acquainted with everyone and to give parents very important information. It would be extremely useful for all parents to attend. This information will enable you to support your child and his/her teacher and assist them in having a positive and successful school year.  We will inform you of classroom and school rules, schedules, and curriculum. We will also answer any questions you might have about your child’s year in kindergarten.

Please mark your calendars and make arrangements so that you will be able to attend this very important meeting.  The date is Wednesday, August 19, 2009.   The meeting will last approximately 60-90 minutes.  We will be meeting at 8:00 a.m. in each of the kindergarten rooms and will close the meeting with cookies and refreshments in the school cafeteria. At that time, all kindergarten students will be dismissed and will return again on Thursday, August 20, 2009 for their first full day of kindergarten.
